As a mom of 2 beautiful daughters, I'm guilty of this too....my camera roll is FULL of pictures of my kids. I've captured every moment, every expression and emotion, every milestone. My husband is in most of those photos too looking super proud and happy. I might be in a handful of them, yet I was there for all them, beaming with pride and overflowing with excitement. I squeezed them and laughed with them in these moments that were captured, but you wouldn't know it. I didn't get in the photos. Not because no one offered to take our picture with me in it, but because I declined for one or a few of many reasons...I didn't like my outfit or I was under dressed, my hair wasn't done, my makeup wasn't done, I looked fat or just didn't feel like it.
When my grandmother passed away, nothing meant more to me than the photos I have of her, especially the ones that I have of us together. I imagine that one day, my kids and grand kids will value equally as much having pictures with me in them as well, so I've committed to doing better and being sure that I GET IN THE PICTURE no matter what! Those pictures are not just pictures. They are memories that your family will have for a lifetime! Memories of the fun you had, the laughs you shared, the tears you shed, the hugs you gave. As Mother's Day approaches, remember to GET IN THE PICTURE no matter what!
And if you want to schedule a professional photography session, now's the perfect time to book your Mother's Day Special with us!
